Southern Ham and Beans

Here's another simple treat for everyone! This is our version of pork and beans (southern ham and beans). Perfect for cold seasons.

We ate this with a half cup of potato salad, and a bowl of veggies (sliced tomatoes and cucumber in balsamic vinegar). Always remember you can eat anything, just watch your portions and just enjoy your food/meal. You can eat without guilt. Remember my post about why do French and Japanese people don't get fat?

You will need:

  • 1 - 2 cups of red beans or pinko beans
  • 4 - 8 cups of water
  • 1 Large, diced ham
  • 2 Minced garlic cloves
  • 1 Large onion (chopped)
  • 2 Tablespoon of chili powder
  • 1 Tsp of salt
  • 1 Tsp of black pepper

What to do:

  • Just, put bean and water in a pot, then  add all other ingredients, let it boil until the beans are cooked.
